| 保存條件 | Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C. |

background: MCAF2 is a 682 amino acid nuclear protein that exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms. MCAF2 can act as either an activator or repressor, thereby modulating chromatin formation and/or transcription regulation by linking transcription factors to transcription apparatuses. A member of the MCAF family, MCAF2 contains one fibronectin type-III domain and is thought to form a complex with ESET and MBD1. The gene encoding MCAF2 maps to human chromosome 16, which encodes over 900 genes and comprises nearly 3% of the human genome. The GAN gene is located on chromosome 16 and, with mutation, may lead to giant axonal neuropathy, a nervous system disorder characterized by increasing malfunction with growth. The rare disorder Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome is also associated with chromosome 16, as is Crohn's disease, which is a gastrointestinal inflammatory condition. Function: Recruiter that couples transcriptional factors to general transcription apparatus and thereby modulates transcription regulation and chromatin formation. Can both act as an activator or a repressor depending on the context. Mediates MBD1-dependent transcriptional repression, probably by recruiting complexes containing SETDB1. The complex formed with MBD1 and SETDB1 represses transcription and probably couples DNA methylation and histone H3 'Lys-9' trimethylation (H3K9me3) activity Subunit: Interacts with MBD1, SETDB1 and SP1. Probably forms a complex with SETDB1 and MBD1. Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Similarity: Belongs to the MCAF family. Contains 1 fibronectin type-III domain.
